The designer will prepare and review detailed substation drawings, including general arrangements, electrical plans, and grounding layouts. They will also act as a lead for field walkdowns, coordinate with clients and contractors, and provide technical guidance to the project team.
Candidates must have an Associate's degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience and at least 15 years of substation physical design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation and the ability to visualize complex electrical clearances are essential.
WORK LOCATION: This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week at the Sargent & Lundy office.
As a Substation Physical Project Designer, you will be working in a project team environment with engineers and other designers involved in high and extra high voltage substation design.
