Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various automotive and heavy equipment including trucks, cranes, and welding machines. Execute additional assignments as directed by the supervisor to ensure plant production and reduce downtime.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, 2-5 years of experience with GM and Ford vehicles, and possess their own tools. A valid driver's license, TWIC card, and the ability to pass a drug screen and physical evaluation are required.

We are seeking an Auto/Diesel Mechanic for a position in Baton Rouge, LA. The Auto/Diesel Mechanic repairs automotive equipment, including but not limited to, trucks, carts, buggies, air compressors, welding machines, cranes, dirt equipment and trailers. Non-exempt role; Reports to Direct Supervisor / Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various automotive and heavy equipment, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment
