About the Position:

As a Team Lead - Project Coordinator, you will coordinate project activities while serving as a resource and leader for the Project Coordinator team. You will help establish best practices, support workload planning, promote consistency across project coordination activities, and assist with onboarding, training, and professional development.
You will also work closely with project managers, commissioning professionals, clients, contractors, vendors, and internal support teams to help keep project schedules, technical documentation, communications, and deliverables on track.
This role is ideal for an experienced project coordination professional who enjoys balancing hands-on project support with people leadership. If you are passionate about organization, continuous improvement, collaboration, and helping others succeed, you’ll thrive at EEI.
The above compensation range is based on the Denver labor market and subject to change based on location.
Location: This position is open to local, in-office, or remote candidates within 45 minutes of our Lakewood office who can attend occasional in-person meetings and events.
Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinate project schedules, meetings, travel details, documentation, and follow-up items that support successful project delivery.
Track action items, project timelines, deliverables, and communication needs to help teams stay organized and accountable.
Provide leadership, mentorship, coaching, and day-to-day guidance for a team of Project Coordinators.
Support workload planning, prioritization, and resource coordination across multiple projects and team members.
Assist with onboarding, training, knowledge sharing, and professional development activities for Project Coordinators.
Promote consistency in project coordination processes, documentation standards, communication practices, and administrative workflows.
Partner with project managers and leadership to identify process improvements, enhance team effectiveness, and support operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Required:
Experience supporting projects through coordination, administrative support, executive assistance, operations support, engineering support, construction support, or a related coordination role.
Strong organizational, follow-through, time management, communication, writing, editing, and documentation skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities, track details, coordinate schedules, and support multiple project stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, coach, or provide guidance to team members in a collaborative work environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to handle confidential or sensitive project and team information with discretion and professionalism.
Currently authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.
Preferred:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, Communications, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Experience supporting engineering, construction, commissioning, facilities, mission-critical, data center, or technical project teams.
Experience with project coordination tools or platforms such as Deltek, CxAlloy, Bluebeam, Procore, BalanceCx, CRM systems, or similar tools.
Experience serving as a lead coordinator, team lead, trainer, mentor, onboarding resource, or similar leadership role.
Working Conditions:
Typical Travel: Limited to occasional. Travel requirements vary by project assignment, team needs, and individual location.
Work Environment: Hybrid environment consisting of office-based work, remote coordination, and occasional field or project site support. Site visits may include exposure to construction environments, uneven ground, varying weather conditions, and field interactions.
Physical Requirements: Primarily office-based work using computers and other office equipment for extended periods. May occasionally stand, walk, stoop, or lift and carry up to 10–25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.

Supervisory Duties: Provides leadership, mentorship, coaching, and professional development support for a team of Project Coordinators. Supports onboarding, workload coordination, knowledge sharing, process consistency, and day-to-day team guidance while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Partners with: Area Managers, Directors, Operations Leaders, Project Managers, Team Leaders, People Services, Marketing, Business Development, and other support departments.
Key Representative to: EEI project teams, clients, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
