The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor manages daily clinical and program operations while ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and interdepartmental workflow. They also assist with staff orientation, education, performance improvement, and the maintenance of the ABG lab according to regulatory standards.
Candidates must hold an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or Science and possess a Florida RRT license credentialed by the NBRC. Additionally, the role requires BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, along with at least 3 years of acute care respiratory experience.
The Respiratory Supervisor, in collaboration with the Director, will manage the day-to-day clinical and program operations. Requires the ability to complete job responsibilities that maximizes clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and interdepartmental workflow. Assists manager in orientation of new employees, education, skills competency determination, performance improvement, problem solving and counseling, scheduling and special projects. Responsible for the maintenance of the ABG Lab in accordance with CAP and CLIA standards. Performs critical and non-critical respiratory care procedures and/or diagnostics through both physician directives and respiratory care protocols.
