The Senior Surgical Tech assists with complex cardiac procedures by maintaining a sterile field and managing specialized instruments. They are also responsible for mentoring junior staff and ensuring strict adherence to patient safety and infection control protocols.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with a current CST credential and BLS certification. A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in open heart or cardiac surgery is required.
