Senior Surgical Tech Role
As a Senior Surgical Tech you will play a vital role on the surgical team, assisting with complex cardiac procedures. You will ensure a sterile field, manage specialized instruments, and support the surgical team before, during, and after operations. Your experience and leadership will contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical outcomes in a high-acuity setting.
Main Tasks
Prepare and maintain the sterile operating field
Assist surgeons during cardiac procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
Operate and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment
Ensure proper handling and accountability of surgical instruments and supplies
Support and mentor junior surgical techs and assist with staff training
Strictly adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols
Document procedures and maintain accurate records

Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience, with experience in open heart or cardiac surgery required
BLS (AHA-certified)
