Position Summary
The Painter is responsible for preparing and painting vacant apartment homes to support unit readiness, leasing timelines, and overall property presentation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring each apartment meets company quality standards and delivers a strong first impression for incoming residents. The Painter works closely with the Maintenance and Property Management teams to complete unit turns efficiently while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
Work Arrangement
Location: Onsite / Edge 1909 / Pittsburgh, PA Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM On-Call / Weekends: Occasional, based on business needs
Key Responsibilities
Prepare apartment units for painting, including patching, sanding, caulking, and priming surfaces as needed Apply paint to walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces with a high level of quality and consistency Complete full-unit repaints and touch-ups within established timelines to support move-in schedules Maintain clean and organized work areas, minimizing disruption and ensuring a professional finish Inspect completed work to ensure units meet company quality standards prior to resident move-in Support the maintenance team with general upkeep and turnover activities as needed Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working and living environment
