The Senior Professional Staff Nurse delivers high-quality nursing care in the Cath Lab, utilizing independent judgment to manage patient and family needs. They are responsible for leadership, collaboration with physicians, and upholding clinical standards to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience with a Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR/BLS certification. A BSN is preferred, and advanced certification or a postgraduate degree is required or preferred for the senior level.
The Senior Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse who sets and upholds standards of high‑quality care. They hold responsibility and accountability for delivering nursing care, using independent judgment and strong communication to manage care for patients and families. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and supervision, building effective relationships with physicians, care teams, patients, and families to support positive outcomes across the care continuum. They also demonstrate commitment to both the community and the nursing profession.
In this role you will develop a highly specialized skill set with cutting edge procedures for a broad patient spectrum.
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit as specified below.
*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
