Provide emergency treatment and advanced life support to patients in the Emergency Department under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include stabilizing patients, performing clinical procedures like EKGs and phlebotomy, and assisting with sterile procedures.

Mentor Hospital’s Emergency Department is a 19-bed department that provides 24/7 emergency care to diverse populations of patients. With an innovative virtual platform, the Emergency Department has a telehealth “robot” (a mobile telehealth station) to host consults for patients. Paramedics provide emergency treatment, including advanced life support, to patients in emergencies. The Paramedic's role is to assess the urgent medical needs of patients and stabilize their conditions. Paramedics are the most highly trained emergency medical responders. Every second counts in an emergency. This is an excellent opportunity for a student who is looking to start their nursing career at Cleveland Clinic and work in a supportive and caring environment.
