The Role
In the wake of a recent transformation, real estate finance capabilities were integrated into a broader shared services model. While this enabled continuity, it has also created an opportunity to redefine, simplify and future-proof the operating model.
As Lead, Real Estate Operating Model Review, you will lead a strategic end-to-end review of financial operations across the real estate lifecycle partnering with senior stakeholders and external advisors to design a model that is scalable, efficient and aligned to a global multi-asset investment platform.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead and oversee a comprehensive four-month operating model review, delivered in partnership with a leading external consulting firm.
Ensure timely input from internal stakeholders to inform robust, evidence-based recommendations.
Provide senior oversight and strategic direction, as well as challenge as part of the consulting engagement.
Define a future-state operating model that balances asset-class specific requirements with enterprise-wide standardisation.
Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual activities and enhance efficiencies.
Establish clear frameworks for accountability, governance, and decision-making.
Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Operations, Data & Technology and Investment teams.
Influence and align diverse stakeholders to a unified transformation agenda.
Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on operating model design and implementation priorities.
Address gaps in controls, oversight and escalation pathways.
Enhance transparency of roles and responsibilities across the operating model.
Ensure the future model is robust, compliant and fit-for-purpose.
Your Background and Experience
We are looking for a senior transformation leader with:
Demonstrated prior senior leadership and comparable industry experience in a large complex company, with demonstrated track record in operational execution in a regulated entity.
Strong experience in delivering significant transformational projects within Real Estate Financial Operations.
Relevant Finance/Commercial tertiary qualifications – ACA/CPA or MBA preferred.
Ability to navigate operational matters and work with consultants in assisting them form recommendations.
Exposure to real estate investment industry in leading, multi-project, multi-asset/business/channel organisations.
