The Principal RF Engineer will lead the end-to-end development of new RF products and phased array systems, including architecture design, simulation, and testing. Our Space Systems team has enabled more than 1,700 missions, ranging from interplanetary exploration, in-space manufacturing to national security and defense initiatives. The team has built spacecraft, payloads, and components for missions to the Moon and Mars, working with partners including NASA, the Space Development Agency, and the U.S. Space Force. Based at Rocket Lab's global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Principal RF Engineer is the technical lead responsible for the development of new RF products and systems (including Rocket Lab’s phased arrays) and assessment of COTS components. The Senior RF Phased Array Engineer will model and simulate antenna performance for current programs and proposals. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of antennas at the component and system level and will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
