Preschool Teacher Extraordinaire Wanted!
Are you ready to spark young minds, nurture creativity, and inspire a lifelong love of learning? Join our team as a Preschool Teacher and be the guiding star in our little learners' world!
Overview:
Guided by the Education Specialist, you will implement an early childhood education program that aligns with developmental, linguistic, and cultural norms. Your role will focus on meeting the unique and comprehensive requirements of preschool aged children while fostering close collaboration with parents and families, ensuring their active participation in their child's educational journey.
Responsibilities:
As a Preschool Teacher at Centro de la Familia, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the minds and hearts of the next generation. Under the guidance of the Education Specialist, you will:
Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, respected, and excited to learn each day.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with Head Start standards and nurtures the cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development of preschool-aged children.
Incorporate play-based learning and hands-on activities that stimulate curiosity, foster creativity, and build foundational academic skills.
Support dual-language learners by integrating language-rich experiences that honor both English and Spanish, while adapting instruction to meet the needs of children with limited or no English proficiency.
Attend to the daily care needs of children, including lifting, diapering, feeding with a bottle, assisting with toileting, and promoting healthy hygiene habits with compassion and attentiveness.
Observe and assess children’s progress regularly, using observation notes, assessments, and screenings to tailor learning experiences and guide classroom instruction.
Collaborate closely with families, encouraging their involvement through regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and culturally respectful partnerships that honor each family’s unique background.
Work effectively with children with special needs, ensuring inclusion, individualized support, and a positive classroom experience for all.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to attendance, assessments, family engagement, and health and safety protocols.
Participate in ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and team collaboration to continuously improve program quality and support your own growth as an educator.
