Requires a high school diploma and a sterile processing certification (or the ability to obtain one within a year). Preference is given to candidates with a medical background and 2 years of experience in CSS or the operating room.

Works proactively with CSS staff, CDC and OR Staff to provide a high level of customer service with quality products. Provides sterile processing team with guidance in all aspects of departmental functions. Must have strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal. Knowledge of industry standards with TJC, AAMI, ICP and ACHA. Computer skills are required. Ability to operate multiple types of equipment including, but not limited to, sterilizers, washers, cart washers, steris 1 and sonic cleaners.
