Perform hearing screens on newborns in hospital settings and provide essential education to parents regarding early intervention. Manage data collection, documentation, and scheduling for babies requiring follow-up outpatient appointments.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and current CPR certification. Candidates should have the ability to work weekends and holidays, with a preference for those having some experience in medical settings with newborns.
The Hearing Screen Technician (HST) performs hearing screens and provides education to parents on the relevance of hearing screens and the importance of early intervention.
