Summary:
The Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse functions in a high-intensity, collaborative practice alongside physicians, advanced practice providers (APP), and registered nurses within the Emergency Department setting. In this role, the nurse provides specialized emergency nursing care through patient-focused assessments, clinical interventions, and the execution of critical procedures as delegated by the healthcare team. They are responsible for skillfully and consistently performing clinical duties while maintaining strict adherence to established emergency protocols, safety policies, and procedural standards.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing
1+ year of clinical experience in a pediatric or ambulatory setting
Current, valid license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the State of Texas
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, PALS
