Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property.
Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
Use excellent customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense or potentially violent situations.
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current unarmed security licensure in Texas.
Accurately document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company-approved forms and protocols.
Job Duties:
Observation and reporting:
Maintaining vigilance for suspicious activity, unusual behavior, or potential threats.
Reporting any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities immediately.
Logging details of all incidents and visitor information.
Patrol and Monitoring
Patrol routes, schedules, and methods shall be determined in conjunction with the client and must be strictly followed by the security officer.
The security officer shall conduct periodic patrols and report any irregularities promptly.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (minimum of 1 hour).
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Must be capable of functioning independently and remaining calm in high-pressure or intense situations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Level 3 Security License in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain one).
Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
Must pass a background check.
Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment:
Primary post will be at a site in Dallas, Texas, requiring work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
