The Vascular Specialist I performs non-invasive vascular laboratory testing and assists in the department's quality assurance process. The role involves operating ultrasound equipment and ensuring the secure maintenance of patient health information.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited vascular or sonography program and hold a BLS certification. A Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification is required within one year of hire.
This position serves as an entry level, registry eligible technologist in the non-invasive vascular laboratory with the possibility of traveling to vascular lab satellite offices. The Vascular Specialist I will be trained and must be willing to learn all aspects of vascular lab testing, have basic knowledge of pathology/ultrasound and be able to meet all IAC standards for CMEs, and assist in department QA process. The Vascular Specialist I will be responsible for achieving their RVT/VT within one year of hire.
