Company Description
Legal & General (L&G) is a leading UK financial services group and major global investor.
We’ve been safeguarding people’s financial futures since 1836, and strive to build a better society, while improving the lives of our customers and creating value for shareholders.
We are one of the world’s largest asset managers and provide powerful asset origination capabilities. Together, these underpin our retirement and protection solutions: we are an international player in pension risk transfer, in UK and US life insurance, and in UK workplace pensions and retirement income.
Our global asset management business provides our clients and partners with complex, responsible investment solutions, working internationally across public and private markets.
Who we are
We are one of Europe’s largest asset managers and a major global investor across public and private markets.
Asset Management is a critical driver of our Group strategy. The business aims to work synergistically with our Institutional Retirement and Retail divisions to benefit our clients and customers, and deliver enhanced shareholder returns.
Our investment philosophy and processes are focused on creating value over the long term. We believe that incorporating financially material sustainability criteria, when relevant to our clients, can create value and drive positive change.
Job Description
We're looking for a Distribution Analyst to lead on CRM & insights to support the continued growth of our Private Markets business. This role combines Salesforce ownership, sales pipeline management, client intelligence and commercial insights to help our distribution teams build stronger client relationships and identify new opportunities.
Working closely with sales, client relationship, product and investment teams, you'll play a key role in turning CRM data into actionable client and market insights, improving sales effectiveness and supporting strategic business growth
You’ll play a key role in turning data into actionable insights, managing sales pipelines, and enhancing how we engage with clients and consultants. Alongside this, you’ll help drive efficiencies through improved processes and the use of emerging technologies, including AI.
What you’ll be doing:
Acting as the subject matter expert for Salesforce within the Private Markets distribution team, driving best practice, data quality and user adoption
Owning and managing the sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities, client activity and reporting remain accurate and meaningful
Producing client, consultant and market insights that help shape distribution strategy and identify growth opportunities
Developing Salesforce dashboards and reporting that provide actionable intelligence to sales and relationship teams
Supporting client targeting, engagement planning and business development activity through CRM-driven insights
Preparing briefing materials, client profiles and meeting packs for senior stakeholders and client-facing teams
Partnering with Product, Investment and Distribution teams to improve how client and opportunity data is captured and utilised
Identifying opportunities to automate reporting and enhance decision-making through digital tools and AI-enabled solutions
Who we’re looking for:
Experience working with Salesforce CRM in a sales, distribution, client strategy or commercial insights environment
Strong understanding of sales pipelines, opportunity management and CRM reporting
Experience generating client, consultant or market insights that support business development activity
Ability to translate data into practical recommendations for sales and relationship management teams
Understanding of institutional investment management, private markets or broader financial services
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience supporting senior sales or client-facing professionals
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously
Interest in improving processes, leveraging technology and adopting AI-enabled ways of working
Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:
The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance -related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
Generous pension contribution
Life assurance
Healthcare Plan (permanent employees only)
At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday

Guided by leaders with integrity who care about your future and wellbeing. Empowered through initiatives which support people to develop their careers and excel.
We care passionately about outcomes rather than attendance and are therefore open to discussing all kinds of flexible working options including part-time, term-time and job shares. Although some roles have limited flexibility due to customer demand, we accommodate requests when we can.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t meet every single criterion in this advert. Instead, think about what you excel at and what else you can bring in terms of strengths, potential and connection to our purpose.

Legal & General is a leading UK financial services group and major global investor.
Our three divisions enable us to carefully invest capital over the long term in a responsible way that delivers returns to shareholders while doing good. Along with growing our pension risk transfer business, our strategy focuses on asset management as the cornerstone of our business, including by opening up private markets to more of our clients. Meanwhile, our retail business is focused on building lifelong relationships with customers as they save for retirement and protect themselves and their families.
What unites all three parts of our business is summed up in our purpose statement which sets out what we do, why we do it, and our belief in the power of capital. It builds on what’s inspired us since our beginnings in 1836, and challenges us to do more, with greater urgency, in more places, for more people and in more ways, for the long term.
