Full job description
At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.
We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Fivelands Vets on a full-time fixed-term basis for 6 months.
Our main surgery is situated in the centre of Moseley on the Alcester Road (nearly opposite the Texaco garage). Here we offer our most extensive range of services from nails clips right through to orthopaedic surgery and imaging.
We have ample off road parking at the front of the practice. Our staff will give you a warm & friendly welcome.
There are separate seating areas for clients with dogs & cat to minimise the stress to both dogs & cats, and cat only clinics on Wednesdays between 2pm and 3.20pm.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Working Pattern
*This is a full time position, 38 hours per week, shift pattern will vary depending on where cover is needed over our 3 sites, 1 in 6 Saturdays.
The right candidate will provide excellent customer service to our clients and their pets. You will need to have excellent communication skills and will be responsible for greeting clients, answering phones, taking messages, taking payments and providing general administrative support. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Veterinary experience preferred but not essential as training will be given.
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
You are a friendly, organised and customer-focused individual who enjoys working as part of a team. You’ll bring:
* Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner
* Experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong focus on service and attention to detail
* The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
* A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues
* A proactive attitude, with openness to feedback and learning
