The mechanical engineer will develop and apply engineering design methods and CAD tools to solve technical problems within flight simulator development. They are responsible for directing technical activities, supporting manufacturing, and ensuring training devices meet requirements through final acceptance.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and possess at least 5 years of relevant industry experience. Due to U.S. government contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible for a DoD personal security clearance.

Summary
Develops and applies engineering design methods, CAD tools, theories, and techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. Remains abreast of the most modern engineering concepts through personal learning initiatives and continuing education programs while applying this knowledge to assigned tasks when appropriate. This position pertains primarily to the Mechanical Engineering segment of flight simulator design/development and is largely project oriented. Task assignments may transcend several projects/programs simultaneously.
