GFT Geotechnical Dams & Hydraulics Team
Joining the dams and hydraulics team at GFT means contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. What you’ll be challenged to do:
Seeking an H&H Designer with 0 to 4 years of experience for our Fort Worth or Houston office. This position will assist in the planning, design, and production of H&H, land development and transportation projects, working as part of a design team under the direct supervision of a PE. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has experience in roadway, drainage design, and utility design.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Assisting in the development of drainage impact studies
Helping to prepare drainage construction plans and specifications
Compiling watershed drainage studies, master plans and engineering reports
Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
Coordinate with other team members and consultants
Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
Education | Experience:
What you will bring to our firm:
B.S. in Civil Engineering
EIT license in the State of Texas or ability to obtain in 6 months
0-4 years of experience in H & H
Expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Self-motivated and collaborate well with others
Good oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of H&H software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSWMM and ArcGIS. (Infoworks ICM knowledge is a plus)
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $72,000 - $100,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
