Job Description: This job is responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of project/small program deliverables which requires the engagement of multiple teams. Key responsibilities include communicating work objectives, coordinating delivery, facilitating sync points across teams, providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables, and managing program risk and compliance to standards. Job expectations include ensuring delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline, and cost.
Responsibilities:
Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.)
Manages coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams
Facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
Provides status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule
Works with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements
Supports resource planning for delivery and execution
Ensures adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards
Owns full project governance, including forecasting, financial management, and budget oversight, ensuring performance within a +/-1% variance across multiple service provider teams
Leads project workgroup meetings and drives clear, consistent status communications to a broad set of stakeholders, including senior leaders
Ensures all deliverables are executed on time and meet defined quality standards
Maintains system of record accuracy and enforces adherence to enterprise change and delivery standards
Drives focus on critical requirements (Minimum Viable Product) and manages scope rigorously, escalating change control items or deferrals as needed
Proactively identifies, escalates, and drives resolution of key risks to ensure successful and timely delivery
Applies disciplined upfront planning to enable predictable execution and minimize unexpected challenges
Ensures all project objectives are achieved with appropriate measurement, traceability, and outcome validation
Demonstrates strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Serves as the single point of accountability for end-to-end project delivery across people, process, and technology dimensions, managing initiatives typically ranging from $1MM to $5MM based on size and complexity.
Required Qualifications:
Proven track record as an experienced Project Manager, with direct accountability for delivering complex solutions end-to-end
Demonstrated experience leading large, complex initiatives across people, process, and technology, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
Strong financial acumen, including management of project budgets typically ranging from $1MM to $5MM, with ownership of monthly forecasting and financial reporting
Proven ability to engage, influence, and communicate effectively with senior Technology and Line of Business (LOB) stakeholders, tailoring messaging and level of detail to the audience
Deep familiarity with Bank of America project management tools (e.g., PPRT, ServiceNow, Jira, TPAS), governance frameworks, and Global Technology standards at Bank of America, including enterprise change management requirements
Accountable for ensuring adherence to governance processes and maintaining accurate project and financial system of record updates
Self-starter with the ability to operate independently, take full ownership of deliverables, and drive initiatives through to completion in a highly matrixed organization
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and service providers to achieve aligned outcomes
Desired Qualifications:
Proven track record as a high-performing Project Manager at Bank of America, ideally with experience working on enterprise-wide efforts
Experience leading projects across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies
Demonstrated experience delivering initiatives within Global Technology
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
