Responsibilities
Lead the build and year-round management of the global registration platform and customer databases for Visa's sports hospitality programs. Oversee guest communications, registration reporting, and cross-functional alignment with event operations and merchandise teams.
Requirements
Requires 5+ years of experience in registration, database, or ticketing operations with strong technical proficiency in registration platforms. Must possess excellent writing skills and the ability to work onsite in Charlotte three days per week.
MKTG Sports + Entertainment is seeking a Senior Manager, Registration & Guest Communications, with a primary focus on end-to-end event registration across global sports hospitality programs. This role is a full-time registration specialist responsible for building, maintaining, and managing the Swoogo registration platform and ensuring flawless attendee data, communication accuracy, and program organization across approximately 24 annual races.
This position is highly detail-oriented, repetitive in workflow, platform-heavy, and ideal for someone who thrives in structured, tech-enabled environments. The Senior Manager will serve as the day-to-day owner of the registration system, ensuring attendee accuracy, platform functionality, and timely communication with guests, clients, and internal teams.
This role reports to the Senior Director, Hospitality & Events.
You Will
Own and manage the full registration program across approximately 24 annual races, including all event-specific registration builds, updates, and maintenance
Serve as the primary Swoogo platform owner, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and continuous optimization
Create, review, and refine registration copy including guest instructions, confirmations, reminders, platform text, and FAQs
Manage attendee data end-to-end, including guest list accuracy, dietary needs, access levels, and required program information
Communicate directly with guests to resolve registration issues, correct submissions, and gather missing information quickly and professionally
Track registration progress and provide ongoing status updates to internal teams and clients
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between registration, event operations, and guest experience
Support merchandise fulfillment workflows for each race when based in Charlotte, ensuring registrants receive correct items and directing junior staff responsible for packing and shipping
Create client-ready materials including registration reports, attendee summaries, itineraries, and collateral
Lead or support internal and client calls related to registration timelines, status, and next steps
Identify opportunities to improve registration processes, tools, communication templates, and platform workflows
Evaluate registration performance post-event and recommend improvements for future cycles
Support broader event tasks as needed, with a focus on registration and merchandise coordination rather than on-site hospitality
You Have
Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of experience in event registration, event technology, program management, or platform-based operations
Hands-on experience with registration platforms (Swoogo preferred; Cvent, Bizzabo, or similar acceptable)
Strong experience writing, editing, and reviewing registration copy and guest-facing communication
Exceptional attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, accuracy-driven workflows
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to manage high-volume attendee data and complex registration requirements
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple races, timelines, and communication streams simultaneously
Experience supporting corporate events or hospitality programs preferred
Comfort working in a non-traveling, platform-focused role
For Charlotte-based candidates: ability to support merchandise fulfillment coordination with junior staff
