As a Product Manager in AEP Stability and Operational Management, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Job responsibilities
Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value
Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
Identify thematic problems and develop/lead delivery of strategies to improve the stability and resiliency of production and non-production environments
Drive products that shift hygiene and engineering best practices from manual governance to guardrails and automation.
Ensure AEP developer experience is a first-class requirement—minimize friction, maximize self-service.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, value management, and delivery
A relationship builder with the ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and technology partners across different levels.
Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates excellent problem-solving, time management and planning skills, and possesses the ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time. Positive attitude and easy to work with while delivering on high priority, time sensitive initiatives
Able to engage with engineering leaders on architecture, SDLC, and reliability practices, and translate technical constraints into clear product decisions.
Demonstrated success building internal products for engineers and driving adoption across many teams/apps
Excellent communication and presentation skills
In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles, including use of Agile project management tools (i.e., Confluence, JIRA/JIRA Align, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
Expertise in observability such as white and black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, etc.
Expertise with automated testing including, but not limited to, unit, component, contract, end to end, and production testing
Demonstrated experience with AI tools
