By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate.
Homes.comOverview
Homes.com is already one of the fastest growing real estate portals in the industry, we are driven to be #1. Just ask Brad Bellflower, Chief Change Officer at Apartments.com. After its acquisition in 2014, Apartments.com quickly turned into the most popular place to find a place. Proven success at the highest level – and we’re doing it again with the new Homes.com. Homes.com is a CoStar Group company with 20+ years' experience in leading and growing digital marketplaces. We pride ourselves on continually improving, innovating, and setting the standard for property search and marketing experiences. With Homes.com we’re building a brand on the cusp of defining the industry. We’re looking for big thinkers, brave leaders, and creative advertising wizards ready to influence a new age of homebuying within a tried-and-true, award-winning company.
We are seeking a Senior Analytics Data Engineer to join our Homes.com team to design and scale end-to-end data infrastructure, transforming raw data into high-quality datasets that power both internal insights and customer-facing product experiences. This role partners cross-functionally to define data strategy, build reliable pipelines, and deliver scalable BI solutions that enable self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making. The position also supports advanced data initiatives, including productionizing machine learning models and enhancing user experience through data-driven insights.
CoStar is investing heavily in artificial intelligence to accelerate software delivery, improve platform observability, automate research and business workflows, enhance product experiences through intelligent agents and skills, and improve data quality across enterprise systems. Successful candidates will demonstrate a willingness to learn, adopt, and apply AI technologies responsibly to solve complex business and engineering challenges.
This position is located in Arlington, VA and is in office Monday through Thursday and work from home on Friday.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end design and deployment of automated data infrastructure – from defining initial data requirements and owning table/schema design to creating reliable, production data pipelines that power both internal analytics and customer-facing product experiences.
Work with product and software engineering teams to define tracking strategy and data requirements; design and build automated scripts using SQL or python to transform raw source data into datasets for use in front-end business products and for analysts across the company.
Develop and implement data quality and pipeline monitoring procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of data, including validation rules, data audits, and resolution of data discrepancies.
Design warehouse architecture and infrastructure to support all business reporting needs. Design tables, schemas, and processes that efficiently compile datasets that support both analytical and front-end use cases.
Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams on projects to understand their data needs and provide them with the tools and resources they need to access and analyze data.
Lead business analysis in support of strategic business development – work with stakeholders to help them access, analyze, and interpret data and understand business implications.
Develop and maintain scalable BI solutions in Power BI, built on curated datasets and data models to enable self-service analytics and drive decision-making across product, marketing, and sales teams
Apply analytical and data science techniques to curate datasets and develop models that power the Homes.com front-end experience.
Partner with Data Science and Machine Learning teams to productionize models and scale advanced use cases, including applications of LLMs to synthesize user behavior and summarize engagement patterns.
