At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower, and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community-based services.
As a Family Worker at Cardinal McCloskey Community Services, you will play a vital role in supporting families and providers through meaningful engagement, personalized support, and access to essential resources. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, bilingual, and committed to strengthening families and building community.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a caseload of approximately 15 providers and their associated families
Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of family needs
Develop individualized work plans that include goal setting, home visits, and family support services
Collaborate with educational staff to design monthly parent engagement activities
Provide referrals and resources tailored to each family's needs
Support network providers through site visits and ongoing communication
Promote healthy family development through education and consistent engagement
Requirements:
Caring, upbeat personality
Minimum of a Family Child Care CDA; AA or BA in Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
Knowledge of child development and early childhood education
Daily access to reliable transportation to Bronx, NY
Flexibility with assigned work location(s)
Ability to pass and maintain acceptable record related to the mandated criminal background check process
