Job Description Summary:
This position provides hygiene, comfort, and safety needs to assigned patients of all ages, under the direct supervision of a RN. He/She may conduct psycho educational and symptom management patient groups.Minimum Qualifications:
High School or GED (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention - Crisis Prevention InterventionPatient Care Tech training or equivalent training with proof of completion. six months Experience as a clinical assistant or patient care assistant. Must have current Basic Life support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) within the first 30 days of hire and must remain current throughout employment. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Emotionally mature, uses sound judgment; Ability to make decisions calmly and quickly. Agility to intervene with aggressive patients. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Demonstrated ability to organize/coordinate activities/groups. 1-2 yrs. previous Experience in health care crisis intervention program
