CGRC’s CREATE Program (Creating Relationships and Emotional Adaptability in a Therapeutic Environment) is a unique, year round, and innovative approach to group social skills service for children and adolescents diagnosed with autism (ages 3-21). We strive to help our clients build social and communication skills, improve problem solving and emotional regulation, and enhance flexibility and motivation.
If you’re looking for the opportunity to share and expand your competencies for the treatment and care of Autism, Child Guidance’s own CREATE program is for you. An innovative-evidenced based program that enhances social communication skills while improving problem solving and emotional regulation for improved flexibility and motivation in all settings is the focal point of our work.
Some responsibilities include:
Review behavior plans, and any other documentation as a method of understanding the child and/or adolescent and presenting problem.
Engage with client to identify individual, family and community strengths and resources.
Provide specific therapeutic support, as prescribed in the client’s treatment plan, including crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, time-structuring activities, time-out strategies and psychosocial, rehabilitative activities.
Support creating and updating curriculum and lesson plans.
Monitor and support client’s daily progress on goals and objectives, as prescribed in the treatment plan.
Support program outcome data collection and analysis.
Provide consistent communication and feedback to the family and other team members on client’s progress.
Able to intervene and provide immediate assistance in crisis situations.
