Responsibilities
Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.
In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit.

Family Medicine Physicians at Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital deliver quality care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral and mental health diagnoses, ensuring their safety and continued care.
A Family Medicine Physician are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks:
As available, reviews the results of prior examinations and psychiatric evaluations, tests, and treatment.
Makes of confirms diagnosis of an individual’s treatment needs.
Obtains comprehensive health history; perform physical examination on new admissions and document/dictate in patient record if applicable.
Discusses findings of examinations and tests with the individual, his or her family, and treatment team members.
Perform and/or participate in rounds of hospitalized patients, including physical assessments, interpretation of diagnostic studies, interaction with nursing staff and documentation in medical record.

What Does LBHH Require for this Role?
A valid State of Pennsylvania Medical License is required.
Family Medicine required.
Two years relevant clinical experience in a medical setting.
Previous experience with behavioral health patients highly preferred.
CPR certification is required upon hire and will be provided at orientation if needed.
