The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for the distribution, service, and clean-up of the meal program in a senior housing facility. They must also assist with food preparation, deliveries, and maintaining kitchen sanitation standards.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of experience in a kitchen or dishwasher role. An active New York City food handler's certification is required.

Under the supervision of the Food Service Manager and or Cook #2, the Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for assisting with distribution, service and clean-up of the meal program.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to climb stairs and lift at least 25lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
