The Engineering Technician assists senior staff with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems including CCTV and access control. They are responsible for following technical instructions, documenting work, and maintaining high-quality workmanship standards.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens capable of obtaining a DoD Secret clearance and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. The role requires basic knowledge of electronics, the ability to travel up to 50%, and proficiency with basic hand tools.
Entarian is looking for an Engineering Technician. This is an entry-level position responsible for assisting senior technicians (Tech III-VI) with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ESS Systems (electronic security systems) To include, but not limited to, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Access Control (ACS), Intrusion Detection (IDS), and Public Annunciator (PA).
This role requires a basic understanding of CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems. Engineering Technician I/II follows instructions provided by experienced technicians and actively learns from them through both ‘On-the-job-training’ and formal training provided through onboarding and various System Certifications applicable to a project.

The Engineering Technician I role is an entry-level position within the Electronic Security Systems team, offering individuals an opportunity to gain foundational experience in the field. This role plays a crucial part in assisting senior technicians with various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems.
