Job Description
The CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and high availability of the organization's mission-critical Public Safety systems, including the Motorola PremierOne (P1) Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) platform. This role supports a 24/7/365 emergency communications environment and ensures system reliability, CJIS compliance, and operational continuity.
The position requires strong, hands-on experience in virtualized infrastructure, container platforms, database administration, and managing vendor-supported CAD systems within a high-availability environment.
This position is onsite at the customer location in the Sumter County, FL area.
The System Manager will be responsible for various customer supporting functions and products including:
Administer and support the Motorola PremierOne (P1 CAD) application environment.
Maintain 24/7 operational readiness for CAD, mobile, RMS interfaces, and supporting infrastructure.

Maintain high-availability configurations, failover clusters, and disaster recovery replication.
Administer and maintain backend databases supporting CAD operations.
Implement and maintain CJIS-compliant security controls.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Document system configurations, procedures, and change management activities.
Lead process improvement initiatives and perform root-cause analysis to enhance workflow efficiencies and system performance.
Manage and troubleshoot enterprise hardware and software, specifically Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, and public safety applications (CAD/Mobile).
Develop and execute customer operations policies while formulating long-term strategies for technical operational excellence.
Cultivate productive alliances with customers and end-users to ensure technical support is tailored to specific operational needs.
Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, network, and third-party components, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Motorola PremierOne (P1).
Familiarity with CAD integrations including Records Management Systems (RMS), Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), 911 call handling systems, and GIS/mapping services.
