The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they meet schedule, cost, and quality requirements. This includes managing project governance, leading cross-disciplinary teams, and maintaining stakeholder relationships within a matrix organization.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business and a PMP or IPMA certification. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the engineering or defence sector and 5 years of complex project management experience are required.
Thales has a vacancy for a Project Manager (PM) to be responsible and accountable for the delivery of the assigned project, its business rhythm and all associated governance aspects in order to ensure successful project execution. The role will demand an individual with highly developed communication and influencing skills and an equal depth of domain experience that can ensure Thales delivers the project to the schedule, cost and quality requirements and to the satisfaction of the customer. The ability to lead and motivate an integrated project team will be key to the success of the PM and the execution of the project.
The PM will produce detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and regular status reports for the customer and Thales internal management for complex projects, which may include Firm Fixed Price and/or Service based contracts. The current work scope anticipated for the PM is to deliver Asset Additions and Disposals under the Minor Warfare and Auxiliary Vessel (MWAV) In Service Support (AJISS) Program. The PM will engage with various stakeholders within the Thales matrix organization and within the customer community on the project. The PM will be accountable for driving Execution Excellence on their project and supporting Project Management Office (PMO) initiatives within Thales Canada Defence & Security.
This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List and/or the US the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for such access.
The Project Manager will be required to:

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 CDN Annual.
