The custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining office buildings, laboratories, and classrooms, including floor care, waste removal, and disinfecting surfaces. They also handle furniture moving, equipment setup for events, and exterior maintenance such as snow and debris removal.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant experience. The role requires the ability to operate cleaning equipment, follow safety protocols, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs.

***This is a Bargaining Unit position. All newly hired employees in Bargaining Unit positions shall be considered “probationary” employees until completion of 90 calendar days of employment. The university will notify the employees’ union.
