The specialist is responsible for receiving, triaging, and scheduling ground and air patient transports while coordinating with various facilities and navigation teams. They must accurately input data into the CAD system and track ambulances and ambulettes to ensure efficient transport processing.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and obtain Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification within three months of hire. Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of medical dispatch experience and an EMT-B certification in Ohio.

Skills: Must be able to organize effectively, pay close mindfulness and perform functions with minimal supervision. Must have excellent people skills.

Must be able to move about hospital and between workstations, and prolonged periods of standing.
Must be able to frequently move, lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs., 20% of the time.
Must be able to differentiate colors, work with monitors, VCR’s, hazardous materials, and equipment.
