The Privacy Analyst supports the Privacy Program by responding to inquiries, conducting departmental audits, and investigating privacy complaints. They are also responsible for developing training materials and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
Requires a bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in HIPAA, compliance, or project management. Candidates should have experience in healthcare consulting and proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
The Privacy Program currently has an opportunity for a Privacy Analyst to support the Privacy Program mission at UChicago Medicine. This position will be primarily a work from home opportunity with the requirement to come onsite as needed.
In this role the Privacy Analyst, reporting to the Privacy Program Director, Deputy Privacy Officer, supports the Privacy Program mission by receiving and responding to patient/employee inquiries, conducting and reporting on department reviews and audits, assisting with privacy and information security complaints and investigations, staying informed of current judicial trends related to HIPAA and other privacy and security compliance regulations, responding to hotline calls, delivering privacy related presentations/training, and creating guidance material, training, and other documents for workforce education initiatives.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
