The Safety Specialist supports and enforces safety programs to ensure a compliant work environment through inspections and employee training. They are responsible for investigating incidents, maintaining OSHA logs, and promoting a culture of continuous safety improvement.
Candidates must have an Associate Degree in Occupational Safety & Health and at least 3 years of experience, preferably in food processing or manufacturing. Required certifications include First Aid/CPR/BBP, with OSHA 30-Hour and bilingual skills preferred.
Description
The Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting and enforcing safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment within Aurora Packing Company (APC). This role supports the Safety Manager and involves conducting safety inspections, training employees, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
