The Assistant Director of Nursing supervises nursing staff and ensures compliance with healthcare standards and regulations within a correctional facility. Key duties include managing staffing schedules, conducting clinical rounds, and collaborating with medical and correctional staff to provide quality patient care.
Candidates must hold a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Arizona and an active BLS CPR Certification. A minimum of two years of clinical and progressive management experience in a correctional or acute care setting is required.
NaphCare is hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team of medical professionals in Tucson, Arizona where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the ASPC - Tucson.
Pay rates range from $45.00 to $49.00 per hour based on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience.
As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will work with the Director of Nursing, correctional staff and other medical professionals to provide quality care to the individuals in residence, while managing the nursing team and ensuring all work is performed in compliance to standards and adherence to regulations.
The Assistant Director of Nursing supervises staff and ensures policies and procedures are being followed in our continued mission to provide quality care that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
