Conduct electromyography (EMG) tests and nerve conduction studies (NCS) to help diagnose neuromuscular disorders. Perform clinical and administrative tasks, including equipment maintenance and patient record management.
Requires a high school diploma and one year of experience in neurodiagnostic testing, along with CNCT or R.NCS.T. certification. An associate degree and BLS certification are preferred.
The Electromyographic (EMG) Technician plays a crucial role in diagnosing and managing neuromuscular disorders and patient care. The primary responsibilities include conducting electromyography (EMG) tests and nerve conduction studies (NCS), as well as performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care. This role is essential for supporting the diagnosis and treatment plans formulated by physicians. Peer roles include EEG Technicians and Neurodiagnostic Technologists. Reporting to the Neurosciences Clinical Supervisor, this position works closely with neurologists, physical medicine specialists, and other healthcare providers.
$50,000 + depending on qualifications
