Count on us. Our "we-care" culture is more than just a motto; it's a promise. From day one, we prioritize your growth, well-being, and success. You can count on us to support your career journey and help you achieve your professional goals. Join us.
Your role.
The members of the Pursuit Strategy & Proposal Team serve as strategic partners in helping the firm develop, win, and retain business. Working in a fast-paced and creative environment, we write and design business proposals and presentations to support the firm’s business development and pursuit of new opportunities. We are seeking a candidate with strong skills in persuasive communications, writing, sales, strategy, project management, and marketing. Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Proposal and pursuit strategy management – Lead the pursuit process, from start to finish, by developing sales strategies and writing persuasive messages based on information from research profiles, meetings with client service professionals, meetings with target companies’ staff and management, and knowledge of the firm’s offerings. Collaborate with pursuit teams and manage large teams of service providers and stakeholders. Create proposals, RFP responses, presentations, and other sales deliverables.
Project management – Serve as the central point of contact and lead project manager for assigned proposals while simultaneously managing multiple proposals and pursuit deliverables. Facilitate large teams of client service professionals, graphic design team resources, marketing professionals, and other pursuit resources to produce deliverables. Deliver a comprehensive response on time that best positions Plante Moran as the first-choice firm while maintaining compliance with RFP process and proposal directives. Simultaneously manage multiple pursuits, proposals, presentations, and pursuit deliverables.
Persuasive content creation - Develop and write persuasive messages based on information from pursuit research, customer personas/profiles, buyer journey/buyer group staging, meetings with client service professionals, communications with customer’s staff and management, prior pursuit experiences, and strong knowledge of the firm’s offerings. Engage and collaborate with additional firm resources as necessary to produce quality deliverables by the deadline
Finalist presentations - Lead and facilitate the pursuit/RFP finalist presentation preparation process to support the win strategy; if a multi-stage process, lead and facilitate all stages until selection is made. Develop talking points and presentation deliverables in collaboration with presenters. Effectively lead and coach internal “dry runs” prior to presentation date; provide constructive feedback to presenters; finalize presentation materials.
The qualifications.
Minimum of 6+ years of increasing responsibility and demonstrable business writing experience, including the development of proposals in a professional services or corporate environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, English, Journalism, Communications, or other related subject area from an accredited college or university
Advanced Microsoft Office, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Literacy with AI use in a professional business environment (CoPilot)
QorusDocs experience preferred, not required
This is a non-exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

What makes us different?
On the surface, we’re one of the nation’s largest audit, tax, consulting, and wealth management firms. But dig a little deeper, and you’ll see what makes us different: we’re a relatively jerk-free firm (hey, nobody ‘s perfect) with a world-class culture, consistent recognition as one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” and an endless array of opportunities. At Plante Moran, diversity, equity and inclusion means that all staff members have equitable and fair opportunities to succeed, in an inclusive environment, with their individual, unique identities. So, what are you waiting for? Apply now.
Plante Moran enjoys a “Workplace for Your Day” model which, simply put, means we strive for flexibility and balance while staying true to our principally in-person model. We believe that face-to-face interactions are paramount for individual and collective development, but also encourage individuals to work with their supervisor and team to determine their optimal working environment each day.
Plante Moran is committed to a diverse workplace. We strive to create a culture where each person feels accepted and valued. We believe that each person’s ultimate potential begins with first acknowledging their inherent dignity. When we can recognize — and celebrate — our many human differences, we’re able to create a workplace where all staff feel a sense of belonging and an opportunity to succeed. This allows us to attract and retain the best talent, serve clients through diverse thinking, and better represent and support the various communities in which we live and work. Plante Moran is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Plante Moran maintains a drug-free workplace.

Co-founder Frank Moran often referred to our firm as “a people firm disguised as an accounting firm.” Why? Because people are at the core of everything we do.
At Plante Moran, business is never “just business” — it’s personal. It’s personal to our clients, and it’s personal to us. Our clients count on us to advance their businesses, chart new territories, build stronger strategies, and — most importantly — help support those who count on them. And with over 3,800 professionals in 23 locations across the East Coast, Midwest, Rocky Mountain Region, and internationally — and a legacy that’s 100 years strong — we deliver. We’re proud to be one of the nation’s largest audit, tax, consulting, and wealth management firms. #PlanteMoranProud
