Marketing Manager NZ
Drive regional growth, lead and shape the marketing roadmap for a global leader in SaaS.
Lead marketing and execution in New Zealand
Auckland based role minimum of 3 days in the office
Established, global SaaS business with a strong market presence.
About LEAP
LEAP is the leading provider of Legal Practice Management Solutions in the world and is part of ATI – one of the largest international LegalTech companies. For more than 30 years, our curiosity and commitment to continual improvement has kept us reimagining productivity tools for lawyers and their staff to support our guiding purpose, to ‘Help lawyers who help people’. The market leading software we develop and support is used by more than 76,000 lawyers and their staff in small and medium sized law firms.
Working alongside our international team of passionate high achievers, you’ll join a fast-growing technology business where things seldom stay the same for long. With more than 1000 smart, caring and ambitious ‘LEAPsters’ working together across Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Poland and New Zealand, you’ll find yourself in good company here.
Meet the NZ team
Our NZ team have recently separated from ANZ and agreed to service the NZ market independently. Whilst Australia retains responsibility for ANZ performance we operate on our own and have taken responsibility for growing our NZ market the Kiwi way. We are lucky because we can leverage our Australian and Global marketing team when we need them and combine that expertise with our own market knowledge and experience. We’re reimagining how value is delivered to the legal community, which means reshaping how we drive LEAP’s brand awareness, recognition, and AI product adoption across the region.
You’ll collaborate with a global network of marketers and report to the Head of NZ to help drive visibility, engagement, and growth for our industry-leading legal productivity software.
What you’ll do
You'll join as a new member of our next generation Marketing function. We're looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to shape and execute our NZ marketing strategy to reflect the evolution of our product offering. We're disrupting how we add value to the NZ legal community, and this needs a significant shift in how we drive LEAP's brand awareness, recognition and AI product adoption.
Starting as a team of two (you and a Marketing Specialist), you will play both a key strategic and delivery role to help improve market reputation and penetration, increase inbound qualified leads and lifted our marketing capability so LEAP is recognised as the Law Firm Operating System of Choice for NZ. You'll partner with an experienced team of Australian based, Local and Global Marketers to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and market engagement through national content creation (podcasts, videos), website and socials. You will have a unique opportunity to experiment and help us figure out the right channels to scale our marketing engine.
To make this happen, the NZ Marketing Manager will:
Use (or develop) your deep understanding of lawyers’ everyday challenges to develop and execute a content strategy that succinctly explains how LEAP products help solve their problems. Use data and insights to measure the effectiveness of content and optimise performance.
Drive a refreshed strategy for customer and partner events - fostering high-quality interactions and deeper client engagement
Oversee and optimise the New Zealand website including maintaining existing pages, ideating, scoping, analytics, roadmap planning and prioritisation
Build product marketing strategies to improve the success of our solutions in the market, increase feature or product usage, and sales of LEAP products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align Marketing efforts with broader company goals. Your work will directly impact pipeline growth and customer acquisition, being involved in aspects ranging from digital channels to community building and field marketing, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach.
Own social media management, crafting and executing strategies to amplify LEAP's presence across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and more. You’ll ensure our voice resonates with New Zealand legal professionals.
Optimise paid advertising for campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, Facebook, and more focusing on delivering quality conversions and improving brand awareness in the NZ market. You’ll experiment with messaging, formats, and targeting to optimise performance.
Leverage data to track performance, monitor competitors, and uncover actionable insights. Continuously refine strategies to maximise impact and drive growth.
What you’ll bring
You're an experienced marketing generalist with a digital focus who understands leveraging the full marketing mix of both brand and digital channels to achieve different goals. On top of this you'll have:
Experience working as a Marketing Manager ideally in SaaS OR you've marketed to the professional services industry
You can craft compelling, on-brand messaging that resonates with audiences and drives engagement. Communicating complex concepts effectively comes naturally to you.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams internally and externally with vision, clarity and collaboration
Hands-on experience across multiple digital channels
Experience working with software engineering teams and the ability to translate from customers to engineers, and vice versa.
Ability to use and translate data to pinpoint where target customers are.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Executives, Sales, Customer Success and Product
You are the type of person who
Has strong listening skills. You actively listen to your customers, stakeholders, team members, and audiences to understand their needs and translate insights into impactful marketing strategies.
Is highly organised with strong attention to detail - this is a multi-faceted role, so it’s imperative you organise your time effectively, work out what to prioritise, and ensure high-quality output in any external marketing materials.
Is a collaborative leader. You support the best idea, not your idea. You're always happy to get your hands dirty to help your team. You’re reliable, honest, and transparent.
Is entrepreneurial - you are willing to roll your sleeves up, spot opportunities and try new things (even when they don’t always work out).
Can present ideas in a compelling way that capture attention and obtain buy-in from a range of stakeholders.
What you’ll get
Your work matters. Helping lawyers help people sits at the heart of everything we do. We solve real world problems that improve and support local, everyday law firms. So they can do their best work for the people in the communities they serve.
Make an impact. You won’t be another ‘cog in the wheel’ here. We give full trust and autonomy for you to be heard, to work on big & complex projects – and to make a real difference.
Work with a group of authentic, passionate people who love what they do.
Well-funded and global. LEAP is the leading provider of Legal Practice Productivity Solutions across Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and New Zealand. We're part of ATI – one of the largest international LegalTech companies.
Flexible and hybrid working. We'd like to find this person in Auckland, but we want you to work in a way that suits you and we're open to flexible arrangements that support you.
Grow your career with us. Our founder Christian Beck has been building legal tech businesses for over 30 years. There are opportunities galore to expand your career based on where your interests lie. We're not afraid to pivot based on market conditions - you will always have the opportunity to stay ahead of the curve and do your best work here.
Have fun with us. Celebrations. Socials.
We value your well-being - enjoy an additional paid wellbeing day every year, free gym membership, monthly massages in the office. We'll throw in a complimentary breakfast and lunch every week too!
