Supervise quality assurance technicians to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to company quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement continuous improvement projects using CAPA findings and quality metrics.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience. Preference is given to candidates with ASQ certification, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and knowledge of ISO and Statistical Process Control.
Utilizes CAPA findings and quality metrics to initiate continuous improvement projects, assigns tasks to staff, and monitors progress and outcomes, adjusting and expanding projects as necessary.
Provides final approval for quality team leaders who completed required training, reporting to HR and Production.
Ensures team adherence to company quality standards, timely product completion, and adherence to design specifications.
Supervises inspection and testing personnel to maintain standards and productivity.
Coordinates team schedules for audits and inspections, serving as a technical resource for trainers and production staff.
Conducts meetings with internal and external suppliers and customers to review quality findings, traveling as needed.
BS degree in a related field, with additional education considered advantageous for career growth activities. A minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience is required.
Experience in Quality, ASQ Certification, ISO, Lean, Statistical Process Control, and Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred. Additionally, certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is desirable, or the willingness to pursue such certification.
Strong leadership and managerial abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
In-depth knowledge of quality assurance principles and methodologies
Proficiency in Word and Excel required; experience with Publisher, Visio, and PowerBi preferred.
Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods.
Walk up and down stairs.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Requires periodic visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
Required to wear proper personal protective equipment.
