We serve dealers, rental companies, and OEMs across the nation with a full range of buckets and attachments to match the toughest jobs and applications. Designed and manufactured at our headquarters in Chattanooga, TN; TAG buckets, thumbs, couplers, and other attachments are adaptable to any brand of excavator or construction equipment.

Job Overview

The Sales Account Specialist will be responsible for all sales administration duties for assigned customer accounts. Additionally, will answer any incoming customer calls with the objective of maximizing support and sales revenue for all product lines. The Sales Account Specialist will also manage the day-to-day responsibilities for any OEM, National Rental, or Dealer Fulfillment account assigned to them (either as primary or backup).

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for answering all incoming sales calls. Tasks include, but are not limited to formal/verbal quotes, front line scheduling, front-line engineering, and cross selling or upselling.
Promote company and the fostering of better customer relations and help resolve and provide solutions to fulfill all customer related needs.
OEM Accounts: Process purchase orders. Maintain communication with manufacturing on need dates. Quarterly customer visits to discuss open issues and maintain customer relationships.
National Rental Accounts: Process purchase orders. Maintain communication with manufacturing on need dates.
Dealer Fulfillment Accounts: Process purchase orders and release orders for specific accounts. Maintain communication with manufacturing on need dates. Customer visits with account manager as needed to discuss open issues and maintain customer relationships. Review program yearly with account manager to refine product mix.
Assist team members with any support needs for non-assigned accounts as required.
Maintain positive customer relations with dealers, rental companies, and end users.
Report customer complaints to manufacturing and engineering; recommend corrective actions; recommend and influence change which leads to improved customer satisfaction.
Work in close collaboration with other departments to achieve Company objectives, ensure that there is open and effective communication.
Assume special projects and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties Breakdown

Sales administration and answer incoming sales calls (75%)
Maintain assigned OEM, National rental, or Dealer Fulfillment accounts (25%)
May be required to travel to customer locations as needed

Integrity: Maintain honesty, behave ethically, take responsibility, respect confidentiality, and demonstrate reliability with other team members, other departments, management teams, customers, and business partners.
Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability and desire to cooperatively interact with other team members by listening to team ideas, treating others with respect, providing constructive feedback, sharing expertise, and contributing to team initiatives.

QualificationsQualifications / Requirements

The requirements listed below are not all inclusive but rather are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required in the position.

REQUIRED

3 years of relevant work experience
Keyboard and computer skills
4-5 days of overnight travel required quarterly
Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment, sharing knowledge to assist with improving the skillsets of coworkers.
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with all levels of the organization
Ability to multitask, solve problems, manage time, adapt to changing work conditions, and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
Capable to plan effectively, set priorities, make sound decisions, and to manage complex project while simultaneously working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong ethical standards, reliability, professionalism, positive attitude, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

PREFERRED

High School Diploma Required / Bachelor’s Degree
Any background in construction industry is a plus
Sales experience required

Working conditions and Physical Requirements

Selected candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
The work for this position is in a home office and field sales environment.
