The technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment through inspection and troubleshooting to determine root causes. Duties include disassembling machines, replacing broken parts, and returning equipment to specifications.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with at least 2 years of machine maintenance experience and a strong understanding of complex equipment. A high school diploma or GED is preferred along with the ability to follow engineering specifications and manuals.

Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine root cause of problems. Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
Cleans and lubricates parts, orders replacement parts, inspects completed repairs and returns equipment to specifications. Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.
Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
2 years prior machine maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment.
Use of basic hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of machine tools and their use.
Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: HS/GED
Experience: 3 years prior machine maintenance experience. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications.
