The Lathe Machinist II will set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes to produce precision components according to blueprint specifications. They are responsible for performing tool changes, inspecting finished parts, and troubleshooting machining issues to maintain production efficiency.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist and the ability to understand technical work instructions. Knowledge of G-Code is preferred, and the role requires participation in the company's F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program.

Lathe Machinist II - Mazak - 3rd ShiftAt Moog, we design and manufacture high-performance systems that power some of the world’s most advanced aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. Our success is built on innovation, collaboration, and the expertise of skilled machinists who take pride in delivering precision components that perform in mission-critical environments.
We are looking for a Lathe Machinist in our Military Aircraft Group who is passionate about precision, quality, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC and/or manual lathes to produce complex parts with tight tolerances, directly contributing to products that support cutting-edge technologies. You’ll work alongside a team of dedicated professionals in a culture that values craftsmanship, accountability, and operational excellence.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
