Develop and execute innovative brand concepts aligned with market trends and consumer insights
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify innovation opportunities
Lead ideation sessions and innovation workshops with cross-functional teams
Create detailed innovation roadmaps and strategic plans
Build comprehensive business cases for innovation projects including market sizing, revenue projections, and ROI analysis
Develop financial models and investment proposals for new product launches
Present business cases to senior leadership and secure project approvals
Monitor and track innovation project performance against business case projections
Establish pricing strategies for new innovations based on market analysis and competitive positioning
Develop and manage P&L forecasts for innovation projects
Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate cost modeling and margin analysis
Optimize pricing throughout product lifecycle to maximize profitability
Lead innovation gate reviews and decision-making processes
Coordinate with brand teams to gather necessary information and documentation
Facilitate cross-functional alignment on innovation priorities and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with company innovation governance and stage-gate processes
Partner closely with R&D, regulatory, supply chain, and commercial teams
Manage relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors
Communicate innovation progress and results to senior management
Mentor and guide junior team members on innovation best practices
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
5-7 years of experience in brand management, innovation, or product development
Proven track record of successfully launching new products or innovations
Experience in the Japanese market and understanding of local consumer preferences
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership abilities
Strategic thinking with attention to detail in execution
Proficiency in market research and consumer insights analysis
Advanced presentation and communication skills
Fluency in Japanese and English (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience with financial modeling and business case development tools
Familiarity with market research tools and methodologies
Knowledge of innovation management software/platforms is a plus
