The Earthwork Superintendent is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising field employees and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. They must monitor productivity, maintain accurate timekeeping records, and ensure all site activities comply with company policies and safety regulations.
Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in heavy civil construction with specific knowledge of earth moving, grading, and road construction. The role requires the ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions, lift heavy objects, and maintain a valid driver's license.
ZTEX Construction is a heavy civil contractor specializing in earthwork, concrete, asphalt paving, underground utilities and overall project management. We are locally owned, and we are currently looking for an Earthwork Superintendent.
The Earthworks Superintendent schedules, coordinates and supervises employees’ activities as well as sub-contractors. May involve supervising one or more trade groups (concrete finishers, equipment operators, laborers, etc.) working in a particular project. Ensures the project is running smoothly and in accordance too standards. Ensure that operations are conducted productively, to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. Responsible for the safety of his crew and equipment. Able to guide and train employees in job requirements.

Environmental Conditions:
Varies from a climate-controlled office setting to work performed outside in all types of environmental conditions, with temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat. Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud for occasional to frequent time periods.
Additional Qualifying Factors
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical screening. If applicable to the contract, you may also be required to submit through a background check. Must have reliable transportation to/from work, must have a valid driver's license at time of application.
