Aon is looking for an Operations Manager I

What the day will look like:
- Manage overall employee performance and where appropriate communicate disciplinary and corrective action.
- Schedule and organizes personnel to accommodate workflow; distributes work assignments to specialists based on specific levels of expertise.
- Periodically review work performed by staff members to verify that specialists identify and retrieve relevant compliance documentation required.
- Validate that staff members are performing the necessary activities to initiate and deliver per the client service agreements.
- Review specialist performance to resolve if client fulfillment is in accordance with expectations as it relates to timeliness and accuracy of deliverables as agreed in the program service agreement/administration rules.
- Assist team in developing effective relationship with outsourced provider and business; and ensure on and offshore works together as one team.
- Participate in the development of client solutions with Regional Managing Directors, Account Executives and other leadership teams.
- Develops, recommends, implements, and interprets client service procedures; evaluates the ongoing effectiveness of current operations and systems.
- Develop a team of 5-10 specialists of various levels, engaged in the fulfillment of service requirements for Aon’s Retail Brokerage clients (ARS).
- Responsible for the performance of their team and has accountability to ABS/ACS management.
- Ensure that their team implements with the highest degree of accuracy, according to established timeframes.
- Responsible for all aspects of their staff’s development including performance review, salary administration, training and mentoring of their respective teams.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in administration and project/production management software and Microsoft office applications (Excel and Power Point).
- Strong knowledge of and experience in specialized insurance programs, structure, management and administration.
- Strong social skills in a team lead or supervisory capacity with the ability to interact effectively at various employee levels.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Proven effective supervisory and leadership skills in being flexible, creative, team-oriented and process-driven.
- Ability to identify and analyze organizational needs with solid problem-solving abilities.
- Exemplifies the behaviors defined in the Aon Competency Model.
- Must attain and maintain appropriate broker’s license(s).
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience and over 7 years of commercial insurance experience.
Education:
- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $75,000 to $80,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
