The Lead Engineer will visualize and develop design concepts for vehicle systems, ensuring functional, cost, and weight targets are met. They will manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to SOP, including supplier interaction, validation, and technical documentation.
Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Mechatronics Engineering with 6-8 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Catia V5, vehicle electronics, and project management tools is required, along with strong problem-solving abilities.
Should be able to visualize and develop design concepts within the consideration of functional requirement (design / cost / weight targets), position (spatial arrangement, interactions, boundary conditions), geometry (dimension/tolerance etc.), gap and flushness considering the vehicle level requirements/ constraints of systems/subsystems (as an input to the SOR) and thereby executing first time innovative solutions and
Benchmarking of lighting technologies
POC, SOR, DVP, TSO & development for controls, meeting all functional, quality & regulatory standards/requirements with in project time line.
Interact with supplier from concept to SOP capturing all SOR requirements & address build & validation issues
Managing and tracking of design release, development, validation & field failures
Review & release technical specifications & other documentations
Should have detail knowledge in capacitive switches CAD packaging and Design
Knowledge in CAE Thermal, Vibraton & Condensations
Should have additional knowledge in Wiring harness, Electronics HW
