Position Summary

Our Receiving Lead plays a key role in ensuring inventory is received accurately, safely, and efficiently while supporting the overall success of our warehouse operations. We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual who takes ownership of the receiving process, leads by example, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Our team members bring a strong work ethic, a sense of urgency, and a commitment to accuracy. The Receiving Lead is responsible for coordinating inbound shipments, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting the warehouse team through organization, communication, and continuous improvement. This position is based out of our Toronto branch, with working hours of 7:00am – 4:00pm EST
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Inventory
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
Ensure all received materials are accurately entered into the ERP system
Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies in a timely manner
Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and inventory audits
Organize and prioritize incoming shipments to support operational efficiency
Warehouse Operations
Safely operate forklifts and reach trucks to unload, move, and store materials
Stock inventory in designated warehouse locations while maintaining organization
Coordinate the flow of inbound materials to minimize delays
Assist with general warehouse duties as required
Leadership and Coordination
Support daily receiving operations and provide guidance to warehouse team members
Coordinate with purchasing, customer service, and warehouse teams regarding inbound shipments
Identify opportunities to improve receiving processes and warehouse efficiency
Promote a collaborative, safety-first work environment
Safety and Quality
Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area
Ensure equipment is operated safely and report maintenance concerns promptly
Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout warehouse operations
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or inventory role required
Previous leadership or lead-hand experience preferred
Valid forklift certification required
Experience operating a reach truck required
Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems preferred
Additional language skills, including French, are considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven experience operating forklifts and reach trucks safely
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Experience receiving, inspecting, and organizing inventory
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing 50+ lbs on a frequent basis
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
Comfortable working at heights and operating warehouse equipment
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and guide team members
Strong sense of urgency and commitment to workplace safety
Training and Development
