·Team leadership: Guide and support casual operations staff, communicating tasks, schedules and timeframes clearly.
·Equipment and maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and storage of arena equipment, including truss, curtain systems and portable signage.
·Health and safety: Play an active role in H&S compliance, contractor inductions and emergency response planning.
·Stakeholder liaison: Work closely with promoters, production managers and contractors throughout load in and load out.
·Problem solving: Think on your feet, prioritising tasks and resolving issues as they come up in a live event environment.
·Documentation: Contribute to and help maintain SOPs and technical documentation.
·Rapid response: Support Spark Arena's Rapid Response Team as an active member when required.
What you’ll bring:
·Leadership experience: A proven ability to lead and motivate teams of casual labour.
·Technical literacy: Confidence reading and interpreting technical drawings.
·Hands on skills: Comfortable working with hand and power tools in a live event setting.
·Communication skills: Clear, professional communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
·Event know how: Experience in event operations or venue back of house work is highly regarded.
·Safety focus: Training or experience in Occupational Health and Safety, with certified experience working at heights an advantage.
·Computer literacy: General PC proficiency for documentation and scheduling.
·Flexibility: Willingness to work variable hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays as event schedules require.
The Benefits:
·A vibrant, music-focused workplace fostering creativity and collaboration.
·Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
·A flexible approach to when and where you work, designed to support balance in all aspects of life.
·Access to concerts, events, and other entertainment perks.
·A diverse, equitable workplace where every voice matters.
·Comprehensive benefits, from volunteer days to wellness programs and mental health support.
